Gao Shiqi (1905 – 1988), originally named Gao Shi, born in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, was a noted Chinese scientist, science writer and doctor.

Gao graduated from Tsinghua University in 1925 and obtained his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Chicago in 1927 and graduated from the Institute of Medicine at the same university in 1930. 

Gao’s work started to be published in 1934 and he joined the Chinese Writers Association in 1952.
