The 8th Digital China Summit officially opened in Fuzhou, capital of East China's Fujian province, on April 29. The event includes an opening ceremony, the main forum, around 20 sub-forums, and special events such as the Digital China Innovation Contest, "Night Talk on Minjiang River", and "Dialogue with the Future in Blessed Fuzhou".

Over 70 achievements were unveiled during the summit, including the "Digital China Development Report (2024)", showcasing China's latest advancements in digital technology innovation, artificial intelligence applications, and data resource development & utilization. More than 100 academicians and experts attended the summit.

The summit has four main sections, featuring an on-site experience area with over 100 interactive projects. One of the highlights is a hands-on drawing activity and simple interaction that can rapidly generate images, videos, and 3D models, attracting many attendees. This is the industry's newest AI-powered content creation platform. The on-site interactive area is open to the public until May 4, allowing the public to experience firsthand the achievements of the building of Digital China.

During this summit, 46 digital application scenario experience points were launched in key business districts and street communities in Fuzhou. For example, in the Shangxiahang historic and cultural block, residents and tourists can simply tap their phones to access guided tours of the area on their mobile devices. Additionally, they can enjoy convenient digital services such as shopping payments, and medical consultations.
