BRICS scholarship launches to cultivate diverse talent
The BRICS New Industry Golden Egret Excellence Scholarship program was officially launched during the 17th BRICS Summit in Brazil on July 6, marking a significant step forward in the fostering of high-caliber professionals in industrial, communication, and other sectors across member states and emerging economies.
Established by the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center, the scholarship program targets mid- to senior-level managers, engineers, and top technical experts from leading enterprises in new industries, new industrialization or new quality productive forces in their respective countries, as well as high-level researchers from universities and research institutions.
The 2025 BPIC Training Program on Industrial Green Development and Digitalization, as the first training program under this initiative, will take place in China from Aug 27 to Sept 25. Participants will engage in seminars covering green development, digital transformation and intelligentization across three Chinese cities: Shenzhen, Xiamen and Beijing. The program includes study visits to prominent tech companies such as Huawei, Tencent and BYD, and attendance at the BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution 2025.
Applications for the program are being accepted until July 25. The scholarship program aims to attract and cultivate outstanding young talent from BRICS members, partner countries and other emerging markets and developing economies by providing financial support for training programs to facilitate collaboration and growth in multiple sectors while fostering exchanges among those countries.
