The participants of the global final for the 24th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students learned about jasmine tea scenting technology during a tour in Fuzhou, Fujian province, on Aug 17.

The technique is a traditional manual skill for producing jasmine tea. It involves a complex process of mixing green tea leaves with fresh jasmine flowers, allowing the tea leaves to absorb the flowers' scent. The result is a tea with a refreshing, intense, and long-lasting floral aroma.

The 125 contestants from more than 100 countries visited the city to experience its culture and history.
