Maritime event promotes global ties in smart fishery equipment
The high-quality development matching event for modern smart fishery equipment was held on Oct 17 in Fuzhou, Fujian province, during the World Maritime Equipment Conference 2025.
Experts delivered keynote speeches, offering valuable insights for advancing the high-quality development of Fujian's smart fishery equipment industry.
The event marked the first participation of Venezuela and Pacific Island countries, laying a solid foundation for the province's marine equipment manufacturing industry to expand globally.
The Venezuelan delegation also visited Lianjiang county to observe the construction and operation of deep-sea aquaculture equipment, gaining insights into Fujian's advanced practices and enhancing bilateral cooperation in fishery equipment manufacturing and marine resource development.
The event served as a comprehensive platform for the deep integration of government, academia, research institutes, and industry. Many central enterprises, leveraging their financial and technological strengths, actively participated, while a number of marine fishery vessel enterprises both within and outside Fujian province conducted on-site matchmaking with research institutions and financial institutions.
This effectively promoted the electrification of traditional fuel-powered vessels and the application of new energy ships, offering solutions for the upgrading of fishery equipment and lifecycle management.
Additionally, the event featured a concentrated signing ceremony for cooperation projects with the China Fishing Vessel, Machinery, and Gear Industry Association, as well as a joint agreement to establish the Pingtan Green Intelligent Ship Manufacturing Base. These initiatives injected fresh momentum into the coordinated development of Fujian's smart fisheries equipment industry.
