Fujian secures over 200b yuan in marine economy projects

The Fujian Marine Economy Industry Cooperation and Innovative Development Conference took place on Oct 16 in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, as part of the 2025 World Maritime Equipment Conference.

Fujian secured agreements for 172 projects, with total investments exceeding 200 billion yuan ($28.07 billion). Of these, 50 projects were signed on-site, amounting to 99.15 billion yuan. Notable projects include the construction of a new large liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier by Wuyang Group, the "blue granary" initiative in Dongshan county, and Huateng's offshore new energy storage equipment manufacturing project.

The conference highlighted a strong orientation toward emerging marine industries, with robust enterprise participation and promising investment prospects. It serves as a vital platform to showcase the achievements of the World Maritime Equipment Conference, aiming to deepen cooperation within the marine economy sector and facilitate the establishment of influential enterprises and major projects.
