Fujian province unveiled its "Fu" cultural image and promotional theme, "Galloping to a New Beginning", on Jan 10 to embrace the upcoming Year of the Horse.

The headpiece of this two-figure logo is inspired by traditional Minnan horse-face opera masks, incorporating elements from Quanzhou puppet shows and Puxian Opera masks. Its bold lines and vibrant colors symbolize loyalty and the spirit of progress, highlighting the unique charm of Fujian's intangible cultural heritage.

Cloud and wave patterns on the headpiece signify auspiciousness and ascent, reflecting Fujian's maritime culture and the historical legacy of the Maritime Silk Road, while jasmine motifs convey the warm, pure, and inclusive cultural spirit of the Fujian people. The golden hues represent good fortune and a bountiful harvest, with the meaning of "success upon arrival" and aligning with Fujian's "Fu" culture, where "fu" symbolizes happiness and blessings.
